Auf dem Striegel steht das weithin sichtbare Kriegerdenkmal des 1. Weltkrieges.
Es wurde 2008 unter Anleitung der drei Dinglinger Maurermeister Manfred Kopf, Hermann Frenk und Helmut Maurer mit vielen Helfern in unzähligen Stunden renoviert.
Die Dinglinger Steinmetze Nuvolin verfugten und strahlten das Denkmal ab. Leider gibt es reichlich Vandalen und Schmierfinken, die immer wieder unsere Schilder am Panoramaweg beschädigen, sowie das Denkmal mit ihren geistigen Ergüssen farblich bedecken.
Im Januar hat die Firma Nuvolin im Auftrag der Bürgergemeinschaft das Denkmal abgestrahlt, so dass es hoffentlich längere Zeit wieder ansehnlich ist.
Einen Großteil der Kosten übernahm die Sparkasse Lahr. Ihr und ihrem Bereichsleiter Klaus Bühler sei herzlich gedankt.
